3. Wyvern Fish of the Month

Every year, for a subscription of £10 from each participating Wyvern Sea Angling club, clubs are invited to submit entries from club members on fish that have been weighed on calibrated scales for the Fish of the Month and Castle Trophy Competition.
The entry form should be sent to Hon. Fish Recorder Paul Cottell, 3 Hayley Park, Kingskerswell, Newton Abbot, Devon, TQ12 5RF Ph: 01803 873428.
All forms should be sent to the Fish Recorder at the above address by the 10th of the following month along with a self stamped addressed envelope if confirmation of registration is required.
The person submitting the form should clearly indicate whether the fish is caught-and-kept or catch-and-release.
For both Senior competitions a specimen fish of over 100% must be submitted.
For both Junior competitions there is no minimum specimen fish size but the fish must be of legal size.
4. Wyvern Record Fish
All record fish submissions must be registered within the first 7 days of the following month. The form must be accompanied by a photo – a trophy shot (posing picture). Don’t forget to include any distinguishing identification of the fish, for example Dogfish nasal flaps, Whiting teeth, spotted ray wing extremities spots. Also don’t forget to send off £10 payable to the Wyvern Division to fish recorder along with scales certificate. Any paperwork for entry must have a Stamped Addressed Envelope for return of receipt.
5. Angling Trust Specimen Fish Award
This annual award, which runs from 1st December and closes on 30th November the following year, is for any specimen caught in the Wyvern Region which is over 100% (Seniors and Juniors). There are two sections – Boats/Kayaks and Shore.
Club Fish Recorders must send in the entry form to Trevor Sutch of the Angling Trust. These must be sent in on a monthly basis by a set time (see rules).
In January of the following year Trevor notifies Club Fish Recorders of all those who have won an award. EVERY 100% specimen gets an award and a certificate. Bronze 100%-124%, Silver 125%-149%, Gold 150% plus. Clubs can then purchase engraved medals from the Angling Trust at a cost of £5 each.
